How to add sequences to a working list


If you want to add a sequence file from your working directory

  1. Type a filename with your sequence in the left upper frame (sequence/file specification field).

    Tip 1: Use wild characters (*, ?) to specify a group of files.
    Tip 2: Type filename with a pathname if you want file(s) from a different directory.

  2. Button Add Specified


If you want to add sequences from a database

  1. Select a databases in a list (upper left frame).

  2. You might type your finer specification after database name (e.g. SwissProt:aa*)

  3. Button Show Matching

    Tip: Instead of it you can use directly the button Add Specified if you are sure about your specification and do not want to see your selection before adding it to your working list.

  4. Select one or more items in the list in the right upper frame.

  5. Button Add elected

    Tip: You can add also everything from the list in the right upper frame using button Add Whole List. Caveat User.


If you want to add sequences from an another list of sequences
  1. Type a filename of a list you want to work with (in the right upper frame).

    Tip: Use button Dir Browser to navigate in the file system. Clicking a filename in the directory browser only copy the filename into the text box, nothing else.

  2. Button List File

  3. Select one or more items in the list in the right upper frame.

  4. Button Add elected

    Tip: You can add also everything from the list in the right upper frame using button Add Whole List. Caveat User.
