Configuration Files

The W2H interface uses several configuration and temporary files which are created and removed "on the fly". Some of them are located in your home directory. You do not need to bother about them, their usage is transparent to you, but we should inform you about these files because you are the owner of your home directory.
Directory .w2h-www
Created in your home directory. It is a container for most of the other configuration files.
File .w2h-state
Created in .w2h-www. Keeps the state of your current GCG session.
File .w2h-history
Created in .w2h-www. Keeps the global options between subsequent GCG sessions. It is an analogy to WPI's .wpi-history file.
File .w2hmydevices
Created in .w2h-www. Keeps the definitions of your graphical devices. It is an analogy to GCG's .gcgmydevices file.
Directory .alerts
Created in .w2h-www. Keeps definitions of regularly repeated jobs (Alerts).
Directory .projects
Created in .w2h-www. Keeps definitions of the user-defined projects.
Temporary files
A couple of small temporary files is created in .w2h-www directory when running an application.
Application's Init files
Created in your current working directory. These files have the same names and contents as those used by WPI interface. Therefore, they can be shared by both interfaces. You create them from the application window.
File Log.glob
Created in .w2h-www. Contains information about completed applications. You can switch on and off this logging, or completely delete this file if you wish.
