The ASA Committee on Career Development will provide information to help members of the Association make informed decisions on formulating and meeting their career objectives. The Committee will also provide information to help persons outside of the Association make informed decisions about a possible career in statistics.

Accordingly, the Committee on Career Development will:

• facilitate professional development and future career advancement of ASA members
• facilitate dissemination of career opportunities to statisticians as well as dissemination of information relating to the need for statisticians in the labor market
• anticipate emerging knowledge, skill and experience needs of statisticians
• promote the statistical profession to others.
