Evan Robert Morris was born at 12:38pm on Tuesday, January 31, 2006.  He weighed 7 pounds 10 ounces, and was 19 3/4 inches long.

His first name Evan is the Welsh version of the name "John", which means "The Lord is Gracious."  Both of Jeff's maternal grandparents were part Welsh, as were Dana's paternal grandparents, the Davis's.  With this name, we also would like to honor several other Johns we know, including Jeff's good friend Jonathan Thatcher, Dana's Uncle John Nielsen, and Jeff's late step-grandfather John Taylor. 

His middle name Robert is given specifically in honor of Dana's paternal grandfather, Robert Sidney Davis.  Robert was a great man, beloved by both his family and in the community.  Sadly, he passed away when Dana's dad was only 20, and never even got to see his son play college football, nor meet his daughter-in-law or his granddaughter.  Dana's dad Charles "Puddin" Davis was Robert's only son, and Dana is Puddin's only child.  We hope that Evan will live his life in a way that will honor the legacy of his grandfather and great-grandfather Davis.
