Description

BayesMix-MS is a piece of computer software which can be used as a tool for the analysis of Mass Spectrometry Proteomics data.

BayesMix-MS implements a hierarchical model for Mass/Charge spikes in Proteomics data. It is written in C and has been compiled for MS Windows.  Currently it is a command prompt application; there is no graphical user interface.

Installation and Execution

Download the file here. Extract Mixture.zip in a directory of your choice, for example c:\

This will create the directory c:\Mixture

Documentation can be found in c:\Mixture\Docs

CD to the c:\Mixture directory from the Command Prompt.

The name of the executable is 'mixture'

mixture -h shows the command-line options

mixture -i <data directory> -d <results directory>

Default for data directory is data_base\. This directory should contain files init, ref and spec

in the correct formats. See README.txt for details.

The default output directory is results_base\. README.txt explains the important output files.
