Since I'm a mathematician by training, I guess it's only reasonable that a sizeable percentage of this site should be devoted to mathematics. The purpose of the present page is to point you to useful information in a relatively efficient manner. You can find information about the following topics.
Prime Numbers
I've been experimenting with the idea of using hyperlinks to enhance the presentation of mathematical proofs. The concrete result of that experiment is a collection of web pages describing some basic properties of prime numbers. I am always open to comments on the pages at this location, but I am particularly interested in hearing your reactions to these pages. As always, you can reach me at krc@odin.mdacc.tmc.edu.
Algebraic Geometry
Building on the hypertext idea, I have started putting together an extensive set of pages on Algebraic Geometry. This set of pages is a work in progress. It builds on an extensive set of lecture notes that I have put together over the years while teaching several different graduate courses.
Educational Projects
During my time with the Department of Mathematics at the University of Maryland in College Park, I was involved in two educational projects. The projects share a significant common aspect. Each project attempted to introduce technology---in the form of Maple or Mathematica---into the teaching of mathematics.
